INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING PSYCHOTHERAPY

50mins £79

I offer person-centred, non-directive talking therapy, with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship.

Whilst my style of therapy is non-directive, it is not passive. We work collaboratively to explore, process, and make sense of self, identity, and experience, supporting longer – term healing, growth, and emotional wellbeing.

I specialise in working with women and perinatal mental health, including anxiety and depression associated with physiological changes, trying to conceive, pregnancy, baby loss, birth, infant feeding, and the postnatal period. I am passionate about supporting women through some of the most vulnerable and life-changing experiences of their lives. I also believe that making, carrying, birthing, and raising babies can involve varying degrees of physical and emotional loss and trauma, and that women deserve both time and support to recover emotionally and physically.

The term matrescence refers to the physical, emotional, and psychological transition a woman experiences when becoming a mother, recognising the profound shift in identity that accompanies this stage of life. Whilst this period can be deeply transformative, it can also feel vulnerable and overwhelming.

Experiences of motherhood are always shaped by both our personal histories and the wider social and cultural expectations around us.

Every woman’s experience, choices, and circumstances are individual and subjective.

Wherever you are in your journey, and whatever stage of life you are in, you are welcome to explore your relationship with motherhood within this therapeutic space.

Whilst I work exclusively with mothers, or those hoping to become mothers, this does not mean you are limited to discussing motherhood-related topics in therapy. You are welcome to bring your whole self into the therapeutic space and explore all of the experiences that have shaped who you are.

I aim to work flexibly and offer a range of options to make therapy as accessible as possible. If childcare is a barrier, you are welcome to bring your (pre- crawling) baby to sessions. I also offer online and telephone appointments for times when leaving the house feels difficult.

Sessions can be booked on either an ad hoc or regular basis, depending on your needs, budget, childcare arrangements, and availability.

Supervision

90mins £99

I take a person-centred approach to clinical supervision and believe that good supervision, like good therapy, does not need to be overly complicated.

I aim to provide a supportive, respectful, and collaborative environment where you feel safe to explore your clinical practice, supporting your growth and development as a therapist.

I approach supervision through three key areas: the needs of your clients and client work; how this relates to your own experience and needs as both a person and practitioner; and your professional growth and development, alongside my role in supporting this process.

I believe the supervisory relationship should be grounded in mutual respect, professionalism, and shared experience, and guided by your individual professional and supervisory goals.

Supervision should feel both empowering and enjoyable, with the safety of the supervisory relationship allowing you to explore your practice openly and honestly.

*I also receive a number of enquiries regarding professional consultation, particularly around the development of private practice and working within perinatal mental health. These consultations are available as one-off sessions or on a regular or semi-regular basis, where there is already an existing supervisor in place or prior to undertaking client work.
