Maternal Mental Health Journal
The Maternal Mental Health Journal is a supportive guide designed to encourage personal growth, self-awareness, reflection, and self-exploration throughout motherhood—from pre- pregnancy and the postnatal period, to the years beyond.
The Maternal Mental Health Journal includes over 100 journal prompts, alongside ample space for non-directed free journaling and has been developed by me, a qualified and experienced psychotherapist, working exclusively supporting new mothers.
This isn’t a gratitude journal, and there is no expectation to only focus on the positives, but the aim is to deepen understanding of who you are, and the personal and subjective nature of motherhood, while exploring changing identity, challenging life experiences, relationships, and the impact of grief, trauma, and adjustment throughout a lifetime. Studies on expressive writing suggest that regular journaling may improve psychological wellbeing by providing an outlet for stress and emotion, enhancing emotional regulation, and supporting the processing of difficult or challenging experiences.
I hope the journal helps you to understand yourself better,
