About Me
Hi, I'm Sarah Edge
I have been practising as a counsellor and psychotherapist for the past fourteen years, gaining experience across both the charity and education sectors before moving into private practice six years ago to work exclusively with new mothers.
I hold an honours degree and postgraduate certificate in Psychology, alongside a postgraduate diploma and master’s degree in Advanced Counselling and Psychotherapy.
I have further experience working as a therapeutic supervisor, teacher, and trainer.
Alongside being a fully qualified and experienced therapist, I am also a mother of two children. It was my own experience of early motherhood that inspired me to develop my therapeutic practice to support women during this important and transformative phase of life.
Whilst studying for my master’s degree, I came across a quote from research exploring what women both want and benefit from when struggling with their mood and mental health:
“I want to talk to another mother, someone who gets it.”
This deeply resonated with me and continues to underpin the foundation of the services I offer today.
